Access to the creation of a serial number from a production
To create serial numbers for the output products of your production, in the pop-up, click on "Create serial number" at the level of your output product:
The serial numbers can be managed by code or by amplitude (product settings), there are 2 ways to create them.
-
Create a serial number by code
When you click on "create a serial number", a serial number management pop-up appears:
Start by selecting the batch in which you want to create your serial numbers. Here you can select an existing batch on the site or create a new one.
In the "Code" drop-down menu, you can search for existing serial numbers that you do not have in stock. You can thus reuse serial numbers of products already taken out of your stocks on sales order preparations for example, in order to reintegrate them into your stocks.
Note: With a product managed by serial numbers in code, you do not need to use the tabs "No. Start" and "Search existing serial numbers", which are only used for products managed by serial number amplitudes.
If the serial numbers you wish to enter do not yet exist on Monstock, you can create them by clicking the "Add" button below. A new line will appear where you can enter the corresponding serial number (you can also scan the serial number code with a suitable device). You can add as many lines as there are serial numbers to be put into stock (the number of lines will correspond to the quantity put into stock).
Once all your serial numbers have been added, you can validate and finalize the reception, adjustment or production. Your serial numbers are then created.

Create a serial number by amplitude
When you click on "Create serial number", a serial number management pop-up appears:
Start by selecting the batch in which you want to create your serial numbers. Here you can select an existing batch on the site or create a new one.
In the "No. Start" drop-down menu, you can search in the list for existing serial number ranges that you do not have in stock. This way you can reuse serial number amplitudes of products that have already been taken out of your stocks on sales order preparations for example, in order to add them back to your stocks.
In the "Search existing serial numbers" drop-down menu, you can search for amplitudes of existing serial numbers that you do not have in stock, according to their start or end number. You can also reuse amplitudes of serial numbers of products already taken out of your stocks.
Note: With a product managed by serial number range, you do not need to use the "Code" tab, which is only used for products managed by serial number codes.
If the serial numbers you wish to enter do not yet exist on Monstock, you can create them by entering the beginning of the range and the quantity to be generated below. Monstock already proposes an amplitude of beginning according to those existing.
The "Add" button allows you to create one amplitude at a time, while the "Generate" button allows you to create the indicated quantity of amplitudes at once.
Once all your serial number amplitudes have been added, you can validate and finalize the reception, adjustment or production. Your serial numbers are then created.
