According to your organization, Monstock proposes several methods of preparation of the customer orders. These are configurable by site. To do this, you can go to the list of sites, then on the site whose preparation method you want to change.
Once you have selected your site, select the "feed" tab on the site edition page.
By scrolling down to the "preparation method" part, you can modify the one of the site.
Below are the preparation methods currently available:
Discrete picking :
This method is centered on the product, Monstock will propose to pick the products at the sorted locations according to the quantity in stock (increasing or decreasing according to the parameter in the general preferences of the account). If the products are traceable by batches, Monstock will propose to prepare the batches according to the FIFO / LIFO method (according to the parameter in the general preferences, from the date of creation of the batch).
Zone and batch picking :
This method focuses on the location category. It is necessary to assign categories to the bins on the site you have selected. When opening the order preparation, you will be asked to choose the bin category you wish to prepare, based on the products ordered and the bins on which these products are located. Each preparation of a bin category is then a partial preparation, if there are other bin categories to prepare.
Once you have chosen your order picking method, you will be able to pick your order using the method you have chosen.
