Monstock allows you to manage your orders with carrier in a simplified way and in connection with your transport tool.

The prerequisites
To place an order with carrier packing, you must first :
- Activate packing forwarding on your sales orders,
- create handling unit types,
- create multi-distribution types,
- fill in the branch address,
- fill in the customer's address,
- create a sales order.
If your Monstock account is connected to your CRM or ERP or CMS tool, you will not need to set up your customers and create your sales orders on Monstock, they will be directly inherited from your other tool.
Once these operations are done, you can prepare your customer order and then proceed with the packaging.

Prepare the order
For an order with a carrier you will have to be careful about the following points:
- The type of delivery used must correspond to a multidistribution mode that represents your carrier (see create handling unit types).
- Handling units must be activated for picking in the branch where the order is placed (see how to set up handling units).
Once these 2 points are checked on the order, you can prepare it. The status of the order will change to "Packing".

Get the order's packing
You must now paste your preparation. Click on the Packing button at the bottom of your screen.
A window appears and you can select the preparation(s) to be packed:
A window appears on your screen with the prepared products of your order. Click on "create" at the bottom right, this is where the types of handling units are displayed. You can indicate the desired quantity of units (package, pallet, envelope...).
Be careful, some carriers impose a regulation on your order.
You can validate your choice at the bottom of your screen and then validate a second time to finish packing (to have more traceability on your order, you have the possibility to move manually and with your mouse your products in the chosen packages).
To save time, you can do an automatic packing. This way, you won't have to select a handling unit type or move the products in the package. Monstock will select the default handling unit and move all prepared products into it.

Get the transport note and the package labels
When you have completed your packing, you can download the package labels containing the information of your branch, the customer, the weight of the package and its SSCC code. The information that a packing has been completed is sent to your carrier in order to generate the corresponding transport note. You can also edit a delivery note via the "Export PDF" button at the bottom of your order.

On the page of your order, you can find a tracking number for your package.
You must manually complete the order by clicking on "Finalize" at the bottom of the page to fully complete your package with carrier.
